Select Dental Plan updates

Dear Select Agent;

As a valued agent of The Select Company, we want to inform you of some changes to The Select Dental Plan.

The United Association of Small Business and Select Dental Plan were given a modest rate increase for the fiscal year July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. Reliance Standard Life (“A” rated by A.M. Best) has informed our group that there were significant claims with our clients. Since July 1, 2005 The Select Dental Plan has had a 6-month waiting period for major procedures and the trend is moving in a favorable direction. Due to our excellent relationship with Reliance Standard Life, they have minimized our annual group rate increase.

Reliance Standard Life has guaranteed these rates for the next 12 months, effective July 1, 2007.

NOTE: All members have an opportunity to change their plan to The Select Dental 1500 or The Value Dental Plan. The Select Dental 1500 and the Value Dental Plan will not be affected by a group rate increase. The Value Dental Plan and the Select Dental 1500 have a 12-month waiting period for major procedures.

The enclosed letter was sent to all Select Dental Plan members. Please review for important changes.

This modest rate increase, the short waiting periods, and one of the best online Internet systems in the country will solidify The Select Dental Plan’s strong position in the marketplace for years to come.
